July 2010

We kept hoping to see them this year, but no luck. Even the adults have been scarce, with very few sightings. A couple of times it looked like an adult was on the nest, but it's too late to not have seen any eaglets.
Oh well, we'll try again next year.

------------------------------

09 February
For the 4th time in 3 years this pair has rebuilt their nest. The new nest is close to the nest location in 2006 & 2007 and is easier to keep an eye on. Definite incubation noted this morning, with the 2nd adult in a favorite tree just down-river.

03 May
Both adults in the nest, one probable eaglet. There is a large branch right in front of the nest, so until they start standing on their own two talons, it will be hard to see them.

13 June
There are two eaglets clearly shown (in the picture below) standing on a branch above the nest. Both were seen spreading there wings; getting ready to leave? This adult pair has had many years with 3 eaglets, so there could be one laying hidden in the nest, but we'll just call it two this year.
I really need a better scope!
