Home France 2005 Back to Travel

Over Easter weekend 2005 we went to the south of France. Matt's mom had an apartment in Nice for 3 months and we used up all our USAirways miles to get there for free. It wasn't a long trip, but we covered a bit of ground - visiting many small villages up and down the coast and into the mountains. We had Easter dinner in Cannes with a friend and had a very nice stroll along the waterfront after dinner. We made a side daytrip to Italy; a somewhat less than thrilling trip to San Remo (sat in traffic for 1 1/2 just getting from the highway to the town), but a late afternoon sidetrip to Bussana Vecchia saved the day. Provence Beyond has good information for many of the small towns and villages in the area.
