In May of 2004 we went to Germany with our wonderful friends Gary & Shawn. Shawn speaks German and did a great job as chief translator. We spent almost all our time in Bavaria (hence the background) and toured a lot of the 'Romantic Road'. Here are a few pictures of the trip in chronological order. We started in Augsburg, then went thru Landsberg and visited several Rococo churhces on our way to southern Bavaria and the castles Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. We stayed in a crazy hotel on top of Falkenstein where mad Ludwig wanted to built another castle. From were we went west to the Bodensee (Lake Constance) and stopped in Lindau on our way to Meersburg. North from there, stopping in Ulm on our way to Wurzburg. Back down the romantic road to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. We headed to Munich for a day and them home again, home again.
